Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with 15+ experience and strong experience in Azure cloud services and Snowflake data warehouse design and development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance data platforms and enabling advanced analytics and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure services and Snowflake.

Architect and implement enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake solutions.

Develop and optimize Snowflake schemas, including star and snowflake models.

Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.

Implement data ingestion from multiple sources (structured and unstructured).

Optimize Snowflake performance through partitioning, clustering, caching, and query tuning.

Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across the data platform.

Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers, and business stakeholders.

Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and architectural standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

15+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:

Azure Data Factory

Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)

Azure Functions / Logic Apps (preferred)

Extensive experience with Snowflake:

Data warehouse design

Performance tuning

Security and access control

Streams, tasks, and time travel

Proficiency in SQL and Python.

Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration patterns.

Knowledge of data modeling concepts (Kimball, Inmon).

Experience with Git, DevOps, and CI/CD tools.

Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
